SSH - MySql remote access

Hi! I am using EMS SQL Manager trying to make an application in Java to access and modify some tables of my data base in MySql. I can not find a way to get remote access to my data base and checking different tutorials online it looks like I need some SSH codes/access/etc.

Where can I find that? Or do you know a java application to show and modify MySql data base? Yes, I know I can do it with phpMyAdmin, but I want to use only some specific tables from the data base.

Hi,

Remote mysql access is disabled in our shared servers. So if your account is hosted in one our shared server, I am afraid that you will have to use phpmyadmin to manage the databases.

If your account is hosted in a dedicated server and you are using cpanel control panel, you can enable remote mysql access through cpanel. Also make sure that port number 3306 is opened in server firewall.
