Kernel Vulnerability Report
Hi All,
There has been reports regarding a bug with the kernel releases prior to 2.6.30 -rc5 in the 2.6 series and 2.4.37.1 in the 2.4 series. These range of kernels are vulnerable.
This vulnerability allows anyone having access to your server to gain “root” privileges. It is not required to have a remote Shell (SSH) access; a simple FTP or vulnerable PHP script is enough. Please refer to the following link where you can see the details.

We are upgrading the kernels in all our shared servers to the latest version with the patch available as soon as possible to avoid any issues.
PS: Dedicated clients can open tickets at the helpdesk for upgrading the kernel.
