Issues running "Addon Scripts"

I'm having some issues running scripts such as phpBB forums and mambo open source so that the programs run at the root of the domain.

Example:
1)I create a new account and assign domain point xyz.com's DNSs to propper DNS servers.
2)I want to install phpbb so that it will launch when someone visits www.xyz.com
3)I set admin ID and password and I leave the blank because I want the script to execute and install in the root of the domain.
4)error occurs stating invalid directory.


I know that I could download and upload the files mannually but that defeats much of the purpose of the scripts.

Hi,

If you use SCRIPTA ;

1) not available to run in the root, cause scripta allows you to install in a directory under public_html
2) you need to install manually if you want to run under root i mean when people clicks on www.xyz.net then they see forum..etc

p.s. you can use redirect to forum directory
